What if we told you that health is a human right – not a privilege?
From NHS access to safe housing, from nutrious food to green spaces and mental wellbeing, the right to health means more than just healthcare. It's about creating the conditions where everyone–regardless of race, gender, or income–can live a healthy, dignified life.
But across the UK, this right is under threat. Just Fair's 2024 report reveals the reality: people are being denied life-saving care, trapped in unhealthy homes, and left behind by a system meant to protect them. Black South West Network's research shows more daunting realities for Black and Racially Minoritised people: racialised folk are at the receiving end of improper prognoses, cultural-linguistic barriers to treatment, and additional barriers to accessing GPs, hospitals, and pharmacies.
