About the event
Brândușa is a textile artist passionate about wellness and community growth. Born and raised in a post communist Romanian society, she didn't accept to be controlled and found ways to speak up and challenge society's norms. She dedicated her student years to children with learning difficulties and moved to England for further studies. Later on in Norway she learned about Sustainable Development Goals and the power of organised action. Strongly impacted by the experience of immigration, she returned home to rediscover peace and self love.
In 2022, a series of events brought her to Bristol and helped her embrace her mission as a textile artist and activist with a focus on migrant women's wellbeing support. She is now freelancing, delivering hand sewing workshops across Bristol.
In her talk, Brândușa will tell you how pain brought her awakening and taught her to love life again.
By coming to Brândușa’s talk, you…
